BYU Spanish Resource Center

El Centro de Recursos de Provo

Our Mission

Created in 1999 and located at Brigham Young University, the Spanish Resource Center is a gathering place for Spanish teachers, bilingual education teachers, students of all educational levels, administrators, and other people interested in the knowledge and diffusion of the Spanish language and Hispanic cultures.

This Center forms part of a network of Spanish Resource Centers dependent upon the Spanish Embassy’s Education Council, located at different universities in the United States and Canada.

The Center located at Brigham Young is the result of an agreement between the Spanish Ministry of Education, Brigham Young University, and the Brigham Young University Public School Partnership.

The College of Humanities collaborates with the Center along with the special support of the Spanish and Portuguese Department and the McKay School of Education. The Spanish Resource Center works closely with CITES (Center for the Improvement of Teacher Education and Schooling.
