The Spanish Resource Center hosts fun and free activities for visitors of all ages. All activities are held at the SRC (click here for directions). These activities are held in Spanish, usually lasting about an hour. In order to count as a cultural activity for a class, please arrive on time and plan on staying the whole hour. If you have any questions or concerns, please let us know.

XVI CONCURSO ESCOLAR DE NARRATIVA EN ESPAÑOL “CUENTISTAS”
Microsoft Word - 2022 CUENTISTAS Utah Announcement to Teachers
It is our pleasure to announce the XVIII Annual Spanish Literary Contest Cuentistas. This contest, honoring the “Día del Libro”, April 23rd, is made possible by the Utah / Spain educational partnership.
Students are encouraged to further their writing skills and their knowledge of the Spanish
language by writing a short story in Spanish.
- All Elementary, Middle, Junior and High school students of the state of Utah are eligible to participate in the contest.
Teachers must send an electronic copy of all their students’ participations by email. A maximum of 15 participants and only one work per student at this email:
- All the participations need to have the same cover: see page 2 of this document.
The winners will receive: a diploma and a set of goodies from the Embassy of Spain.
All participants will receive a certificate of participation.
Deadline March 25th, 2022.
Prizes will be awarded at the end of April or beginning of May 2022 and the winners and their teachers will be notified ahead of time. Please disseminate this information among your students and colleagues. If you have any questions, please contact us.

PAST CULTURAL ACTIVITIES
In October of 2019 we watched the movie “Coco” for the Mexican cultural week.
On November 8th, 2019, Dr. Ana M. López-Aguilera, Assistant Professor of Spanish at the Bemidji State University visited us to present her research on Spanish Film.
In September of 2019, Ana Sanz, the Spanish Resource Center Director came to present on Spain and its festivities.
